Email Copy for getting your videos VIEWED

Structure

Video emails are quite different to other emails because the goal of what you write isn’t to get a response - it’s to get someone to watch the video.

You want to make sure your email:

  • is short
  • leads with value
  • creates urgency
  • piques curiosity
  • has a GIF thumbnail

A good structure would be something like this

  • {{Hello}}
  • {{Pique curiosity}}
  • {{Offer value in the video}}
  • {{Video Thumbnail}}
  • {{Create Urgency}}

Template 1

So this is what a script could look like:

“Hey {{firstName}}, My partner showed me your website - weirdly, you are super similar to one of my existing clients who we helped to {{achieve X}} in {{y timeframe}} with our {{Z technique}},

I recorded a video for you explaining how you could do the same:

{{thumbnailEmbed}} ← this is the hyperlinked GIF

skip to the 50 second mark to see where I explain {{X}}

All the best,

Ryane”

Template 2

So this is what a script could look like:

“Hey {{firstName}},

I saw that {{X}} so I recorded this video to explain how you could fix {{pain point}}.

This is NOT an automated email btw. I decided to take the time to record this video for you because I believe we can {{achieve X}} for you and I wanted to explain how I’d go about doing that.

{{thumbnailEmbed}} ← this is the hyperlinked GIF

If you skip to 1 minute 10 second mark you’ll see where I explain {{X}}

All the best,

Example 1

You could also add other small personalisations depending if you have the data or if you have segmented your list like “we helped another company in {{niche}} from {{location}}”

So it could look something like this:

“Hey Sarah,

My partner showed me your website - weirdly, you are super similar to one of my healthcare clients who are also based in London “Bioed Screens”. We increased their revenue by 65% in 21 days by optimising their landing page.

I recorded a video for you explaining how you could do the same:

Hosted that on a private server for you so I can only keep the video up for a week.

All the best,

Ryane”
