How to set up AutoFollowUp in Instantly.ai (via Zapier)

In order to set up an AutoFollowUp in Instantly, you will need two campaigns:

1. Your "Main" campaign - this is the normal sequence you would send out, where you send out the video, that prospects will then click on to view
2. Your "AutoFollowUp" campaign - this is the sequence you will send out to leads as soon as they've viewed their Pitchlane video

1.) Create an AutoFollowUp Campaign in Instantly

2.) Navigate to the "Options" tab, select the "advanced options" and configure the schedule accordingly.

3.) Configure your AutoFollowUp response.

4.) Select "Save" and Launch your AutoFollowUp Campaign

6.) Link your Pitchlane Account

7.) Select your Pitchlane Campaign and Select "Test Trigger".

8.) Select, the "Add Lead to Campaign in Instantly" action and ensure your Instantly account is linked.

9.) Select your AutoFollowUp Campaign and ensure the fields are populated correctly.

10.) Select, "Continue" and test the step.

11.) Select the action titled, "3. Update Lead Status in Instantly". Ensure you select your Main Campaign and the rest of the fields are populated accordingly.

12.) Select Test Step and hit Publish

1.) If a lead books directly via Calendly or Savvycal on the Pitchlane Video Page, this Zap automatically pauses the campaign and blocks any follow-up going through.

1.) Connect your Calendly/SavvyCal Account

2.) Select, "Test Trigger".

3.) Connect your Instantly.ai Account

4.) Select your Main Campaign

5.) Select the next action "Add Lead to Campaign in Instantly" & Under "Action" select your "AutoFollowUp Campaign".

6.) Ensure that all the fields are mapped and populated accordingly.

7.) Select, "4. Update Lead Status in Instantly".

8.) Select the "Add to Blocklist in Instantly" Action & Populate the field with the Invitee's email.

Note if you wish to include this prospect in future campaigns you will need to remove them from the global Blocklist. More information can be found here: How to Use Global Block List

9.) Hit Test and Publish.

2.) Prevent a prospect from receiving the AutoFollowUp sequence in Instantly.ai after they’ve replied to an email.

2.) Ensure that under the "Trigger" section of the "New Event in Instantly" Trigger your Main campaign is selected under "campaign" and "Reply Received" is selected under "event type"

3.) Select, "2. Update Lead Status in Instantly" and select your primary campaign

4.) Ensure that the fields "Email Address" & "New Status" are populated correctly with the lead's email and the status "completed" being selected.

5.) Select "3. Add Lead to Campaign in Instantly" and navigate to the action tab. From here ensure that the asterisked categories are populated correctly. With the campaign set to your "AutoFollowUp Campaign"

6.) Navigate down to "4. Update Lead Status in Instantly". Under Campaign ensure that it is set to AutoFollowUp Campaign. With the fields "Email Address" and "New Status" populated correctly i.e. with the Lead's email and with "Meeting Booked" respectively.

7.) Select the "Add to Blocklist in Instantly" Action & Populate the field with the Invitee's email.
