How do I personalise pitchlane videos?

It’s a reasonable question, it comes down to this - most business owners that would be good customers for you have the same problems that you can help them with. So you personalise based on that.

Think - what is valuable insight that you can give to your prospects that helps to fix one of their biggest, most painful problems? What mistakes are they making?

This will allow you to point out and quantify a big problem that they have (trust me, this will capture their attention) and then position yourself as an expert by providing some insight into how you could address it. DO NOT FIX THE PROBLEMS IN THE VIDEO - your job is to highlight to them that they need to address these issues, the mistakes they are making and that you would be the best person to fix them.

Think, what are the worst problems that 95% of your customers face, the typical mistakes that lead to this and base your script around that. I can spend some time with you to decide onwhat the most powerful options are - choose some time here.

Are you a website dev?

Point out that their H1 text could be better optimised for SEO - then position yourself as an expert by giving an explanation of how SEO can be improved in general.

Are you a lead gen agency?

Point out that their case studies are really powerful (all companies have case studies) and that they should be booking at least X meetings a month - tell them that you are messaging to check that that is the case. If not, they are likely missing out on revenue. Tell them how case studies need to be structured to be most effective.

Are you an ads agency?

Point out that their competitors are placing ads on their keywords (this is the case for all companies) - tell them that customers are searching for their products but then being captured by their competitors. This could be costing them X amount a month - explain how you would start addressing this.

It works for anything - selling a random product?

Tell them you don’t think they’ve been using your product - and that’s costing them money. You felt compelled to record a video to explain why.
